A new cooperation platform for civil society in the Atlantic Area


14 member institutions:

  • Great-Britain:  Welsh Economic Forums 

  • France :  Regional Economic and Social Councils of Bretagne, Pays de la Loire, Centre, Poitou-Charentes, Limousin, Aquitaine

  • Spain:  Economic and Social Councils of the Basque Country, Cantabria, Galicia, Canary Islands 

  • Portugal :  ISQ (Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade), AERLIS (Entrepreneur Association Lisbon Region), USALGARVE / CGTP-IN (Association of Algarve trade unions – CGTP Interprofessional)

Two main objectives

  • To make the regional socio-economic protagonists aware and to mobilise them with regard to the issues of Atlantic Area integration and to make them agents of interregional exchanges and cooperation initiatives.

  • To permit a great awareness of the economic and social environments, using its role of relay network with various socio-professional organisations (professional organisations, trade unions, employer organisations, associations, higher education and vocational training institutions,…)
